Working Experience :
Dato’ Noordin bin Sulaiman was a State Financial Officer of Selangor and has over 32 years of working experience in the government sector, in the areas of land as well as development and administration. He began his career as an Assistant Director in the Prime Minister’s Department and thereafter held various positions with the Federal, State and local government.

He has been on the Board of Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) from August 2018 until August 2020 and re-appointed as the board of TH in November 2020.

Working Experience :
Muhammad Fawwaz Bin Aminuddin has extensive experience in investment management with specialisation in strategic planning, organisational development, transaction structuring, corporate finance, project management, investment evaluation, fundraising, and business development.

He served as an auditor at Deloitte United Kingdom before joining PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Malaysia as a corporate finance consultant. He was also a general manager of UMW Group and a top management executive of several companies in the Middle East.

His career has given him exposures to a broad range of industries including financial services, real estate, hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, education, automotive, communication, logistics, F&B, and public sector.

He is currently the General Manager of Strategic Investments at Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH).

Working Experience :

Zainal Abidin bin Abd Jalil is currently the Executive Director of Dagang NeXchange Berhad (“DNeX”). He has served about five years as the Group Managing Director of the Company till his retirement in February 2019 and subsequently assumed the role of an Executive Director. He was redesignated as Executive Director for the Energy Division in December 2020.

As an accomplished industry leader with a wealth of experience in managing large multi-national businesses in IT and capital-intensive energy industry, he is well-experienced in business turnaround, organizational transformation, M&As and building sustainable enterprise to compete in international markets. As the Group Managing Director of DNeX, he turned around the Company, which was formerly Time Engineering (a GLC) with a market cap of RM180 million into a RM2 billion company with global footprint and a diverse line of businesses in the three core segments of IT/e-Services, Technology and Energy.

He had a long career at ExxonMobil spanning 28 years in various leadership roles at the IOC business units worldwide He has significant leadership experience in managing upstream exploration and production businesses including offshore operations, and joint–ventures with global IOCs. He has a track record working on oilfield assets in major hydrocarbon producing basins in West Africa, North America and Asia Pacific.

Serving as Chief Executive Officer of Malakoff Corporation Berhad, he successfully spearheaded the Company’s transformation into a major international Independent Water and Power Producer (IWPP) with core businesses in power generation, renewable energy, water desalination and operations and maintenance services. He was instrumental in leading Malakoff into international market as well as building renewable energy business in the Middle East, North Africa, South East Asia and Australia. He was with Malakoff for three years prior to joining DNeX in June 2014.

His latest employment was as Group Chief Financial Officer for Perak SEDC Group from 2013 to 2019 and Cement Industries of Malaysia as Chief Financial Officer from 2007 to 2012. Prior to the above employment stints, has served several companies including Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Berhad, Magna Prima Berhad, Malakoff Berhad, Zalik Securities Berhad and Ernst and Young .

ABDUL HALIM BIN JANTAN

Working Experience :
Abdul Halim bin Jantan sits on the board of various private companies. As a 40 year old veteran in the practice of Risk Management and Risk Transfer, the art and science of developing an insurance solution has always been a passionate and enjoyable part of his life. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Sterling Insurance Brokers (Sterling), an Insurance Broking and Consulting company which he established in year 2000.

Prior to embarking his broking journey, he spent 14 years at American Malaysian Insurance Berhad (AMI), being his last position as the CEO of AMI. At AMI, he led the Underwriting and Claims Team responsible for the underwriting and claims administration for the construction and erection of the STAR and Putra Light Rail Transit Insurance Programme, led the growth of the company from a gross premium level of RM80 million to RM150 million with consistent profitability over 6 years period, led the establishment of a subsidiary company, Asia Pacific Risk Management Centre (APRMC) and strategically established new divisions to create synergy and niche market to position the company in a specialised engineering, corporate space.

At Sterling Insurance Broking Company, he had developed and pioneered the insurances for power plant and large industrialized risks particularly in mega construction projects, with the likes of Malakoff Corporation, Sarawak Power Generation Sdn Bhd, Jimah Energy Ventures Sdn Bhd, C.T. Power Limited (Mauritius), Astronautic Technology Sdn Bhd, Indah Water Konsortium, Puncak Niaga Bhd and Malaysian Resources Corporation Bhd.

Through the years, he has successfully established Sterling as the Premium Independent Power Plant (IPP) broker in the insurance and reinsurance market. He is expanding its portfolio into a more specialised industry i.e. Space, Aviation and Marine Hull continuously.

Today, the Sterling Group comprise of the following subsidiaries; Sterling Insurance Brokers Sdn Bhd, Sterling Risks Solution Sdn Bhd, Sterling i Tech Sdn Bhd, Sterling Automation Sdn Bhd, Sterling HCR Sdn Bhd, NeuPower Sdn Bhd, Wings Cycle Sdn Bhd, Consilium Engineering Sdn Bhd and TUV-NORD Engineering Services Sdn Bhd.

With the significant influence of Industry 4.0, particularly in the field of IT, he is the owner and director of Ultis Asia Sdn Bhd (Ultis Asia) and Sterling i-Tech, an IT company that operates as an outsource provider offering to the market a comprehensive employee benefits solution comprising from business consultancy to software application and IT Infrastructure. Ultis Asia and Sterling i-Tech is a collaboration with Scion Global Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Patimas Computer Berhad comprises of IT experts with wide and varied experience from Multi-National Insurance Corporations as well as software Research & Development, bringing expertise in software application development and IT infrastructure.

It introduces a sophisticated and comprehensive integrated business solution for insuring group employee benefits that would allow Underwriters, Corporations and SMEs to effectively and efficiently improve their overall processes and more importantly, cost of doing business through digitalize transformation and advance analytics.

After years of focusing on the growth of his Group business, he is now keen to give back to the industry and society, hence he participates regularly as panel speaker at industry seminars and conferences as well as occasional guest lecturer at universities, both locally and internationally.

Working Experience :
Dato’ Iskandar Mizal bin Mahmood has 30 years of experience in a multitude of companies ranging from multinationals to Government linked companies and spanning from investment banking to technology sectors at all levels from hands-on operations to leadership.

He started his career with an international audit firm Arthur Andersen & Co in 1989. He moved into merchant and investment banking serving Bumiputra Merchant Bankers Berhad and Commerce International Merchant Bankers Berhad (now known as CIMB Group). He joined Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) in 1999 to undertake the Initial Public Offering and Listing of MAHB on Bursa Malaysia and assumed other responsibilities such as Corporate Finance, Strategic Planning, Business Development and Investor Relations.

In 2003, Ministry of Finance Malaysia and Khazanah Nasional Berhad appointed him to helm the leadership of Malaysian Technology Development Corporation Sdn Bhd. He was later appointed in 2005 to helm the leadership of Malaysian Biotechnology Corporation Sdn Bhd, one of the Government of Malaysia’s key technology initiatives at that time. He then ventured into the private education sector in 2011 by partnering with Manipal Education Global of India to set up Manipal International University in Malaysia. He also served as the Group Chief Executive Officer of Pos Malaysia Berhad in 2013 before taking on the role of Managing Partner and Director of a renowned local consulting firm, Ethos Consulting. He was on the Investment Panel Committee of Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) from 2016 until 2018.

He was the Group Chief Executive Officer of Granatum Ventures Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned company of Khazanah Nasional Berhad from July 2017 to January 2019. He has been with Globetronics Technology Berhad as an Independent Non-Executive Director from May 2012 until May 2021 and with Media Prima Berhad as Group Managing Director from October 2019 until May 2021.

Working Experience :
Latifah Daud is currently Executive Director, Strategic Human Capital Management at Khazanah Nasional Berhad.

She has extensive management consulting and human resources experience gained over a 30-year career in multiple global organisations in high technology sectors. Latifah spent 8 years with Honeywell Inc. in Shanghai where she supported its expansion to high growth regions in Greater China, India and ASEAN. She also led Honeywell’s talent strategy in its Global Technology Solutions operations in Bangalore, Shanghai and Brno, Czech Republic.

Previous to that, Latifah served 13 years at Motorola/Freescale, where she held various positions and was part of a team that saw the successful spinoff of Motorola semiconductor business. Early on in her career Latifah worked for a consulting firm in Singapore, as well as at Hatibudi Nominees/Renong Group and Arab Malaysian Merchant Bank in Kuala Lumpur. Latifah once taught computer science at Yayasan Pelajaran Mara.

She was a Board of Trustee of Yayasan Khazanah and a member of the Industrial Relations Panel at Malaysian Employers Federation. She now sits on the Industry Network Talent Advisory Council, at TalentCorp, Ministry of HR.

Working Experience :
Erma Surianee Malek has an extensive 22 years of experience in Management Accounting, Financial Analysis, Material Management, and Project Management in multiple industries. She started her career with Goodyear Malaysia Berhad in 1997 until 2005, where she successfully managed Quality Standard, Sarbanes-Oxley Act and Six Sigma work environment. She was the first female Chairperson of the Consultative Committee for Executive Staff. In 2005, she joined UMW, managing finance and general management of its start-up company.

She later joined Khazanah Nasional Berhad in 2007 until 2019 and was involved in Special Projects for Public Market Trading as well as the finance representative for the Lab on Rationalization of Khazanah Yayasan. She also led the Khazanah Graduate Trainee Certified Accountants Program, which resulted in 95% success rate. She was involved in the start-up and auditing of Khazanah Representative Offices overseas and was the Nominee Director for Education and Creative & Media sector companies.

She is also known for her community services participation, which includes advising start-up shelters on governance and operating structures, as well as providing guidance on the accounting record for a humanitarian NGO.
